Happy Independence Day Lads and Lassies!
Went for a quick ride round the Sandias, and then down through Placitas to Bernalillo, and then South through the Valley back to the homestead. Was warm, but not too warm, and the air and smells up at altitude on the backside of the crest was magnificent.
Cheers Everyone! Try not to burn too much hair off during the festivities this evening!
Hello everyone. Recently picked up this 06 with about 33k miles on it.
She needs a little work, but she runs great. I traded a CB500 cafe racer for her.
FWIW there's a guy selling an '06 Uly showing less than 2000 miles on a certain auction site. Looks beautiful, he wants $7k for it.
Doesn't seem too interested in promoting the bike, exactly eight words of description.
Just out on a ride the other day...
Last year, with the Remus exhaust.
I clean my bikes
That front wheel bearing looks rusty...make that at the top of the to do list!
Santa Cruz Mountains, CA
5 minor passes in the lower Dolomites. I tried to stay high as much as possible to beat the heat.
Question about tires... I am going to be swapping these ^ out for some 705s soon. I've had great luck with them on the KLR.
Anyway, I saw a video where some people put a 120/90/17 on a CB500x, as opposed to the 120/70/17. That's 240mm on the sidewall, basically making it as tall as if you had a 19"rim.
Anyone tried that?
Edit: Found the video
I try to stay high as much as possible, too.
Got a quick ride in today
Yesterday i change the neutral switch After 4 year of stop It don.t work...
Someone told me they got a dusting of snow up there Monday. Supposedly at Purgatory, too, but I didn't see any.
Let's get a Buelligan ride in sometime.
I found this picture of my
Uly with its S1KXR sibling. Two adventure (touring) bike that share their DNA with their sport bike relatives.
I saw a very light dusting on their webcam pics.
Pretty picture time. How to make a Buell more like a Harley? Chrome the exhaust!
