That's a good idea, I think. I don't know how much trouble it would be to do.

Thank you for the Tapatalk activation!!!

I like that different color idea for read/unread. I could easily get used to that across the entire site.

Weird, but when I just inserted the :drif smilie in a reply, it showed just fine, but converted to a :tb smilie when posted. :scratch

    :drif

    See whut I mean!

Oh I see the problem, in the smilie drop-down the old tb smilie is ID'd as drif.

    Still weird.

Personally I see no value in the Inmates Online Now (yeah, like I'm going to search through the 1000+ user names) and the New Profile Posts "boxes" but that means I just ignore them as wasted space.

Maybe if I "followed" some inmates they might be more useful.

    :stupid

I kindda agree, the space is wasted, its just front page though.

Is there a good reason for it to be there or even exist? On a small forum it might make sense..here with 280K+ lunatics...not so much.

In watching the Profile Posts section on the main page, it looks like a lot of people are using it as a pseudo-PM function - likely due to a lack of understanding as to how it's supposed to work.

What about opening links in another tab? Now it jumps to that link leaving you to have to back page to get back to your original conversation.

Since you pointed this out, i've been looking at the 'profile posts' more...

Whats the point of that at all? and i'm not being snarky, i'm genuinely curious of why its front page and what purpose it serves even at a micro level?

My browser does do it for all other sites and it did for this one before. I'll look again when I get home. Maybe I need to delete ADV and reconnect.

    Sent from outside my mind.

I found it does it on most. not all links.
Here is one that doesn't do a fresh tab for me.
    http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=685657

    From this thread.
    http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/ktm-690-efi-idiots-guide.931664/

External links and internal links with WWW in the URL seem to work. :dunno

I notice Chrome doesn't even show the WWW in the ADV URL for me at all.
Here I have added the www.

    This link opens a tab.

See if things are different for you ?

I can't get tapatalk to reconnect. I deleted it and resubscribed as suggested, but it won't connect to the forum. Any suggestions please? Thanks

When you search for it in tapatalk, make sure to select the advrider.com. There's another advrider something that isn't this site.

Will the gurus get smugmug videos set up as a video source in the near future? Thanks in advance.

Oh, www.advrider.com on Tapatalk was giving me trouble too until I deleted it and then re-added it. Now it works fine.
