I am headed up to Alaska in a few weeks and was thinking about putting an XM Radio on the bike. Has anyone from the lower 48 traveled up there with XM? I was wondering what the coverage was like. Did you loose the signal while in Canada or did it work the whole way?

I guess having a radio is not the point of riding anyway! Thanks for the reply.

Think about a Sirius unit. They have a third bird that is higher on the horizon and they are partnered with the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) - would expect coverage further to the north and have heard anecdotal confirmation. I gots the XM and haven't been farther north than Prince George - it worked there but didn't take much to knock the signal down.
