Hey Pezz does that C-leg have little servo's in them? If so you will start sounding like robo-cop :lol3

Hey there's an idea. Rig up a small speaker to amplify the sound. That will stump (pardon the pun) some people :lol3

    Hi Alex

Yes servo's and recharge every night.

    Sure makes some muffled servo sounds . . . . .

    looks pretty modern. . . . unlike me :D

    Hi,

I felt i just need to write something, for a long time i thought i was the only one with a 400f advetured..... but how wrong was i. i have been laughing out loud more than a hand full of times reading thorugh you posts, there are so many similarities that its almost scary haha

to get to the point... i think have acidentaly built a sisterbike to yours, it all started when me and a couple of friends decided to ride in Morocco. at that time i felt that i did not have enopugh time of money to go but it would be a pity to miss it, a very good friend of mine donated his 400f but he said "only if you build it and ride it i africa. so... i gathered my friends and we built it togeather in about 48h.... the rest is history now but i still got the bike :)

    Hi Victor

Your CB400/4 dirt bike looks great :thumb

The best mod I did on my XR460/4 was extending the swingarm 100mm.

Its really good on the dirt roads and very stable.

Im about to pull the carbs and fit an different oil cooler for our next Scrapheap ride in 8 weeks.

Really liked your pictures on Instagram and looked like a great trip on old bikes

I found these old converted bikes when I was researching

    Mine sits much taller

This was my Generous friend, Shane, who gave me the CB400/4 in the first place

He also covered the seat :imaposer

Well as the next Scrapheap ride is in 4 weeks thought I had better get busy and pull the carbs and clean they horrid fuel out of them, put 85 mains instead of the 90's. Would have preferred to run 80's but the jet kit I had missed the 80's.

Upon removal I noticed some dust on the butterflys. The manifolds are a little loose and I packed them with rubber grease to help with the seal. This bike gets ridden mostly on dusty roads

I noticed the tube out of the bottom of the airbox which I think(?) is plugged. Then also noticed part 22 - Chambered breather has a tube pointing towards the airbox tube. Wondering if there once was a hose between them???

Any CB400/4 owners out there able to help???

Here ya go Pezz. The airbox has a drain hose as does the oil separator on the bottom of the air filter. The crankcase vent goes to the forward facing nipple.
I think the drain hoses had foam filter plugs in the ends or duckbill checks. You could plug them and just check them once in awhile.
Hope you get her ready in time, have fun!
