    >> Update, 10/19/21: sold to a loving home! <<

Recovered my own expense as well as helping an XRL brother who was not able to get in on the original group buy--all good.

If anyone out there wants (or knows someone who wants) the Nova Racing countershaft that is needed to add kickstart to the XR650L, mine is available.

    KIMG0577_1.JPG

At the time I comitted to buy, I was steadily in-progress on three RFVC motorcycle builds/restorations, but then came a household move, the purchase of 72-year-old house, a dislocated knee and broken ribs, a global pandemic, a lucrative side-gig that fizzled away, etc. So, despite my motorcycle plans still being in play to pick up again sometime out there in the blurry future, having a few extra bucks now for current projects is a no-brainer.

I'm in no hurry to sell, but anytime someone needs to add kickstart to their XRL, PM me. I'll sell at the price I paid Spezjag, plus USPS priority shipping.

If I get ambitious, I may also list the CS on eBay, but at a higher price. For any of you all, though, I'm happy to sell for what I paid.

I've got some other pics that show my face.

Here I'm calibrating my digital caliper -

Here I'm showing off my blood gas sensor when I had my PFO (hole between heart's atria) repaired -

And here I'm showing off a T shirt that a buddy sent me for my birthday a few years ago -

    It's tough to choose.

That's awesome! Out of curiosity, what kind of boots were you wearing? Do you think different boots could have prevented it?

Bad ass that you were out there.

    Fast recovery!

I'm guessing the bike just got a couple of scrapes? If only riders were made good again as quickly as their bikes...

Titanium parts my man! Lighter than a fart, more expensive than a divorce. Think how much faster you'll be with those high-tech goodies in your ankle.

And scars! Chicks dig scars. Except when I start pulling my pants down to show off where they put in my titanium hip. That'll empty a room in seconds.

Edit: Crashing sucks, heal up soon, keep kicking orange ass.

Man, that sucks. Good luck with recovery.

The KTM will probably never recover.
