    But I suspect the average age of members on THIS site is nearly twice as old as the average age of XRL riders on other sites.

    bought my first one (xr500) back in 79 when i was 18 years old bought my last one ( 2009 xr650l ) last year, i'm 48 now AND i hope i'm ridieng @ 70 years old way to go old man !!

    46.........as for people saying midlife crisis i say this........i`ve worked my ass off for 25+years in just my current job as a tech....paying 300 bucks or so a month for that long for tools..house is almost paid off,i have no bills.......so i deserve to be able to enjoy some of my money now..


    A lot of old buggers like me finally got their "brats" kicked out of the house,do not owe money anymore,wifes either have their boobs done or don`t care,and are finally in a financial state that they can afford 2 ply toilet paper.......so anyone saying "oh that`s his "MAN opause" car/bike can kiss my:tush .....

    You worked hard,maybe you are like me and life got in the way of you having fun till now..........

    I'll be hitting 50 years old in a couple weeks, my XR is a 2006 w/ 20,000 miles. I've put 14, 000 on it in the past 2 years. I am having a blast with it, wish I had gotten it along time ago. :clap
