Dude you are my hero!
60, bought mine when I was 54.
Not quite the same - but XL500R - 48
You're only young once - but immaturity lasts a lifetime
But I suspect the average age of members on THIS site is nearly twice as old as the average age of XRL riders on other sites.
bought my first one (xr500) back in 79 when i was 18 years old bought my last one ( 2009 xr650l ) last year, i'm 48 now AND i hope i'm ridieng @ 70 years old way to go old man !!
46.........as for people saying midlife crisis i say this........i`ve worked my ass off for 25+years in just my current job as a tech....paying 300 bucks or so a month for that long for tools..house is almost paid off,i have no bills.......so i deserve to be able to enjoy some of my money now..
A lot of old buggers like me finally got their "brats" kicked out of the house,do not owe money anymore, wifes either have their boobs done or don`t care, and are finally in a financial state that they can afford 2 ply toilet paper.......so anyone saying "oh that`s his "MAN opause" car/bike can kiss my .....
You worked hard, maybe you are like me and life got in the way of you having fun till now..........
Yup you get around our age and you finally have the ability to start your hobbies again...
Had my bike 3 years done a few trips. 2000 with about 20000 miles on it now.
love to ride it around moab. Sure puts a smile on my face.
44...xrl owner 3 years.
43 for less than a week.
My L is an obsolete, overweight dirtbike and barely street legal. I'm an obsolete, overweight dirtbike rider and barely street legal.
Cool to see so many "mature xrl riders".
I am 48 but I look 49 when on the XRL......I started life on a '74 XR75.
Scott Summers is my hero.
I feel better about my age compared to the old farts that have checked in on this thread LOLOLOLOL
Soon to turn 40
I'll be hitting 50 years old in a couple weeks, my XR is a 2006 w/ 20,000 miles. I've put 14, 000 on it in the past 2 years. I am having a blast with it, wish I had gotten it along time ago.
51 and had the bike for 2 years.
50 and I've owned either an XL or XR of some kind for the last 27 years.
