Yamaha bags, skid plate, tank bag and aftermarket crash bars maybe. Of course the aftermarket guys are busy on this thing so I could change my mind before the bike gets here. I won't be doing a top case this go around instead a dry bag on the rack will do. I may get one of those fancy windscreen adjuster things and of course a center up mount for my ZUMO. I like the yamaha engine guards down low but hate them up top. SW motech's skid plate looks better as does Altrider but both are very $$$. Yamaha bags are a little small but fit the best on the bike that I have seen. TRAX bags is another option. Givi makes a nice adv bag now. Endless possibilities but first I want the bike.

I had seen another Tenere thread that had info on at least two TX dealerships taking orders for the new Tenere at a slightly lower cost than some others. Can anyone provide a link? I have researched and not found them again.:ear

I know it's late but since my 990 was totaled on th 4th of March I thought that the new Yamaha may be an option to replace it.

    Thanks,

    Kris

Tony O. At www.yamahasuperstore.com located in longview texas I think. He has quite a few ordered for people. If that link is not right try to find him in the vendors section of this site. Hurry the clock is ticking for orders, good luck. I ordered mine 9-8 and can't wait for it to get here.

Last Wednesday the rep at Houston Motorsports told me the first shipment was expected in four weeks unless they are delayed because of the problems in Japan.

They are delayed and Yamaha no longer has a beginning delivery month on their website. Also keep in mind they will not even begin production on the US models until after March 31st when the PDP expires. I am still being told July by my dealer but that does not mean anything. It is well worth the wait and the production part is out of my control. I know it will eventually arrive this year some time.

Terra you don't want that ugly old yamaha, what you need is a 2007 BMW 1200GS! And whaddya know, I happen to have one right here. That horrible Tenere would look better in my garage.:D

So did you put your name on the one coming into Bill Eddies and decide it would be a dup of what you already have?

Nope I don't have my name on one yet. If I didn't just get the GS set up how I finally wanted it then id be looking at a Tenere.
