Yea I don't see reliability anywhere in their criteria. For me that's #1 and we all know where Yamaha stands in that regard.

I have been trying to beat the KLR 650 as " Most VERSATILE bike " for years . I think the T-7 is going to do that , " in it's weight class " . More power , better suspension and probably better fuel mileage .:thumbup:thumbup:thumbup .

How are they supposed to test reliability over the course of two days?

Watch that space, the couple who run the MVDBR channel have recently bought a T7 and KTM 390 Adventure. I doubt they will be nice to them.

I owned nine different KLRs between 1992 and 2017 and have more miles on KLRs than any other bike line I've owned (including 3 Honda ST1300s and 4 Super Teneres). I ordered the T7 as a KLR type replacement bike...only much better and about 15 lbs heavier than a 2nd gen KLR. I am really looking forward to the delivery of my T7.

As I was reading this, I thought "that sounds like somebody else I know" then I saw your avatar and realized it actually WAS somebody else I know. :-) We should have ours within the next 2 weeks, Dennis.

WRONG color...I am getting the white and red T7 so blue crates just won't work as I do have some
    class.

Okay, so with EVERYTHING that's going on, these two questions are definitely on the optimistic side. Today is June 1st, has anyone gotten any kind of legitimate inkling of deliveries? Anyone had a dealer at least inform them they've been invoiced?

I'll sit here in muted anticipation.....

I have seen people really like it for other bikes and I am planning to buy it for mine when US availability is announced. Nobody can buy these yet so we have to wait a couple months for real world reviews.

Got mine on Saturday—probably the first in Ottawa. Love it. Engine so smooth, great sound.

Tore it down last night after 250km ride to install Rally Raid preload caps, Eastern Beaver PC8, and to see how the bike’s put together. More farkles coming. The CamelADV tower brace is essential—otherwise so much shake on the instruments/lights it was laughable seeing it for myself on first ride.

Will post more first impressions later, but quick version is: suspension def needs tuning; it’s waaaaaay easier to work on than my prior 2019 Africa Twin, and the handling surpasses that of my WR250R—even for the added weight. With a few more tweaks, it’ll tick 95% of the boxes on my list for a true DS machine equally happy in the dirt as on a multi-week tour. Was well worth the 4+ year wait.

See you in the Owner’s thread!

I just ordered the CamelADV tower brace thanks to your recommendation. The Eastern Beaver PC8 is a much cleaner/ quality unit than another unit I saw online. I see one in my future. Thanks for the recommendations.

Pics of my PC8 install. Will post details on my blog too. Also installed a mini voltmeter from Camel under the rear seat.

I wouldn't buy the OEM crash guards if I was looking for crash protection. They bend inwards quite easily, putting stress on the mounting points.

What's the difference between the reservation #, confirmation code and a claim number.
