quercus petraea from spain has a good memory indeed - i bought the end can (type rallye including db eater) + downpipes in italy with sc projects.
both are made of titanium. no cat inside, thus running not at all as hot as the original one which is good for my plastic saddlebags that are hanging over the silencer.
link pipe hand made of titanium scrap. connection to rear frame custom made, original one had to be cut off. not much room any more for pillion pegs if need be...
weight saving about 5 kg, but to be honest i would not be able to tell any difference while riding from this modification.

    cheers,
    wolfram

The smoke from surrounding wildfires continues to be blown into the Tahoe area and because of the fire danger locally they've shut down all forest access and campgrounds. I love to mountain bike and usually try to get out 4 to 6 days a week for a least some short rides, but the air quality has been so bad the last two weeks I haven't been riding.

I decided to for a motorcycle ride this afternoon. It was fun to get out, but after an hour my eyes and throat burned from the smoke so I headed home.

Put down a deposit on the only T7 my dealer will be getting this year.
Probably won’t arrive till late October.
Will probably want to lower the bike. I had a Versys 650 and did not like that tall stance

    Not related.

A guy I met years ago at a ride to eat in East Texas had one of Tom`s seats on his S10. He gave the seat praise so I tried him out.

So.... I'm going to throw this out there.

I'm thinking of putting together a group ride/event in the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic area. Was thinking either a group get together at Two Wheels of Suches in Suches, Ga, or maybe a ride on the Mid-Atlantic BDR (and maybe continuing up the NEBDR). This is all just an idea, but if some people are interested, I might try and put together the logistics. Thinking late spring to early summer maybe?

    Any interest?

Long time lurker on this thread, finally put a deposit down on one of these bad boys about two weeks ago. Guy said he should have mine by the end of the month, but I don't think that's going to happen, hopefully mid October latest, I already sold my previous bike :(

Well for those who have plain pannier racks, heres a cheap solution to use the lost space over the exhaust constantly. Just a $20 bicycle frame bag fits well and carries the obligatory wurstsemmel(=a less sophisticated sandwich) for the sunday rideout. Complies with panniers attached.

Just an fyi, I received an email last night from Heed stating that they're again shipping to the United States. I inquired last month about their crash bars, which I really liked the looks and features of, but they weren't shipping to the States at that time so I went another route.

Had a deposit down at dealership that dropped the ball.

I am up in the Suches area often each year just let me know when. Plus I know the area really well on and off road.

Is Riders Hill in Dahlonega still open? They changed a tire for me on a trip once and that place was awesome. I would go there every day if I lived there if only to have coffee and sit on the porch and bullshit for a minute with other riders. IIRC they have (had?) a shop dog named Stelvio that would go and mingle.
