That's a crime against humanity to leave those bikes collecting dust. Set them free!!!
Why not get Givi. Then you have a choice between aluminum panniers, plastic panniers and soft panniers, and they all quickly lock to the racks.
i must admit that i had to think it over a bit before i posted those dust collecting captured ténérés and the like.
since i was asked so nicely i couldn‘t resist...
i am delighted to get such a positive reaction. where i live i keep it rather a secret because here we often have a mentality of resentment.
thank you for your support!
sorry to disappoint you - and me. none of those definitely amazing brands. mainly dust collecting japanese bikes.
Not disappointed at all . I could spend hours just looking. Thanks again for posting. Growing up my cousin used to get Cycle guide, Cycle, and Motorcyclist magazines. Would spend hours going through old editions, and admiring the Norton girls.
Your collection is those old magazines come to life.
we are suffering from the same viral infection. thanks god it is not corona...
My answer is a simple one.
I’m a user of the German Tenere forum, and I often take looks on Ingos rally Ténéré Homepage.
Liebe grüsse aus der Schweiz
Your fabulous Tenere collection;
I'd so love to spend half a day (probably longer) just admiring your collection at my leisure with a few large cups of coffee and motorcycle conversation with you...!
Amazing Sir.......simply amazing........utter respect to you.
you are quite a sly fox...
good on you!
herzliche grüsse aus dem saarland
Das haben Sie gut gemacht Wolfram!
Schöne collection, aber was macht die Alouette hubschrauber dazwischen
thanks for the compliment, PhaseShifter!
the alou is complete but not in flying order. it is sitting, better: hanging there as a display and a childrens playground for our 3 boys.
in real life i prefer R44...
wenn du eine alouette erkennst, interessierst du dich offensichtlich fuer die fliegerei. fliegst du auch heli?
Don't they end up deteriorating if they're not ridden regularly? Fluids go bad, seals, hoses and tires dry up, etc.
Wow!!! On my trip away I was very lucky to get away from this. I reached the limit of the Stock suspension. Bottomed out & clipped a bolder
But I can say I LOVE this bike 100%,
Still looking for a base plate upgrade tho, But have found a suspension specialist here in NZ who has a T7
And has a suitable re spring & valve option for the rear shock & front folks available soon,
This does not matter to collectors. They are in in a whole different level than people who love to ride bikes. There main focus is on ownership not riding.bikes.It is the simular disorder that people pay big bucks to to go on paid hunts to shoot trophy animal's..If you have the bucks you can do what you want.Feel good that even those people end up in the same place at the end.I found it curious as you got no comment on this but I have rebuilt bikes for collectors and know the breed. It is sad but it is only motorcycle's.
sounds as if you are talking about my aging body, haha. fluids, hoses, seals...
to be honest: as fas as possible i oiled the tanks' insides, replaced brake fluids, sprayed the rust susceptible outsides. apart from that the climate in the shed is on the dry side.
i must admit that i'd need somebody to help me riding all of them regularly...interested? ;-)
I would take you up on that if I wasn't on the other side of the world and nursing a broken foot. If you ever want to send any of them back to their homeland I know a dealer here who might be interested in importing a few.
Ok it's a Tenere thread but if there is a bike I want to ride most of all is the BMW HP2 enduro.
( From the collection I mean)
ouch! that hurts by the looks only. had a similar situation. instead of bottoming out i chose the other option and gave it a wristful...ending up with a nice dent in the front rim.
no snake bite flat at least.
good luck with your suspension upgrade.
i am awaiting mine in the next days, if ohlins delivers correctly.
Maybe wheelying over the rough stuff would work better.
that sounds promising and tempting.
if the kids are more interested in facebook and the like in the future - which i don't hope - i will return to your offer.
if i am not mistaken i guess that the 400 cc bikes like yamaha xs and the like are much sought after in 日本.
good luck with your foot, hope you can rely on a pretty nurse.
