not too bad actually...but i would luv tohave the GPR high mount exhaust...
I know where there's a 1992 TDM here in the States with 20K on the clock. It's overpriced but I have an idea they'd love to move on it. I'm going to give them a call and if I pass, I'll provide the details.
So what's it worth? Looks decent and comes without any farkles other than a Micron pipe.
The prices I have been seeing seem to be in the $2200-2800 range. Unless they have been completely trashed. I would aim for the low end on a stocker.
Care to join us at Carpe-TDM? Sounds like you're our kind of guy!
Already a member, though an infrequent poster. Dont think I've posted since the forum updated. I got my gearbox from Alan, but have not had it off the road for the last year, so its still got the one with no third gear. Its amazingly flexible, as long as you keep it in second upto 5k, it willl pull 4th fine.
Carpe is a great forum for sure Would not have got Avon Azuras otherwise, saved me money, and I reckon they are better in the wet than the old MEZ6 tyres.
My fuel consumption is getting bad. Maybe I should do the emulsion tubes whilst the engine is out for the big stripdown. New rings may also be good for Kyoto I think....
They are asking $3600 and don't seem to inclined to move. When I presented NADA values they replied that that's merely a guide.
If their song changes, I'll post a link to the bike.
Dang, is it low mileage in mint condition? Different market and all but I paid just $5800 for my 2005 TDM900A, complete with Ohlins suspension, heated grips, titanium exhaust, Givi rear carrier, etc...
I'd ask them if they're high but I think I already know the answer...
Maybe I misspoke. I assumed the USA, so we would be talking 1992,93 models.
Come on back! Things are changing rapidly, and there's a thread on Spain running at the moment you might want to use as an excuse to chip in.
A recent TDM owner and I´m having problems w/ the sitting position. I'm streching to reach the handlebars and it gets tiresome when filtering in town. I use the bike every day for commuting. It appears to me that it would be best if the handlebar was an inch closer to me. Any ideas as how to modify it? Try a different handlebar maybe?
I found some comfort in just adjusting the bars but am currently lookng for some other bars. Preferrably something with a crossbar.
You can either use renthal handlebar or like myself and few other Singaporeans,we use Africa Twin handlebar..its more wide..
Check this thread on handlebar risers.
Just thought I'd throw a pic up from last weekend

Wow! Nice breakfast gathering. Any 850 in your group?
Such a warm country, such huge, ugly, noisy screens... why?
