Explain, why are these bikes so wanted? Isn't it just a small RD with taller bars? What am I not getting? :)

We always want what we can't have, they were never sold here in the U.S.A. and they have a high fun factor. .

Pipes are much lighter than standard but I don't think make much more power.

Best bang for the buck is to skim the head, optimize the squish and bump up the compression a bit.

Most you gonna get is 55ish hp unless you really wanna drop some cash.

55hp is plenty. We only got the little TDR180 here and even finding them is extremely difficult.

There was a TDR up in northeastern Canada about 3wks ago for sale on here. His listing was TRD-250, so I missed it at first, but it sold to another Canadian very quickly. The buyer has quite a few hard to get bikes. The bike needed a CDI and a Chain, sold for $2000.00

    Bah, what title issues?

As long as it has a 17 digit VIN you can get a title for it.

    Even in CA.

Buy now figure it out later or you will be sorry you passed on it.

I use to ride with a couple of friends that had the same TDR at different times here around the Bay. I don't think it was that one. I think yet another freind of mine got that bike here in the states dubvioulsly but this particular guy has got all kinds of stroker street bikes into the country thusly.
