My googlefu is letting me down tonight. What is the recommended fuel pump to carry, in case factory fails on the road? HFP-389? Thanks

The one that they call “Long”. It is shorter than the oem lever. The XL is supposed to be about the size of the oem.

Its likely an FMF programmer or similar. You can keep it in place and play with it or take it out and reconnect the factory plug.

Lots of opinions on the best settings...

Every pump is made in China, even the oem one when you take the cage apart.

From what I understand the Yamalink lowers these bikes and they come with one when new. I got this bike used and they didnt have it. Any chance someone has one they would sell cheap?

No it's not. I bought one and it says made in China on it. I asked and the guy said it's Japanese parts. Either way solid pump.

Does anyone know if the 250R and the 250F brake pedal are the same? Bent mine last week...looking for an aftermarket replacement. Lots of choices for the F...haven't found any for the R. OEM part numbers are different, but the look exactly alike. Thanks.

Good to know. Their website and the link you provided says "Made in Japan"

Well, my exhaust is pretty cracked at the tab.

Does anyone have a spare laying around?

I was thinking about the crack. A few weeks ago @Yinzer Moto and I where riding and came upon a large log. I tried to turn around using an embankment. I tipped over since my foot didn’t find the ground. My bike landed hard on the exhaust side down hill too. I’m thinking this is what caused the break. I don’t know for sure though

Mine cracked in the same place when I lost the muffler bolt, I just got it welded up, it cost next to nothing...

@jules083 said he can weld it. He’s a boiler maker.

    The drama is now complete.

I'm confident the F and R are different, but I'm not 100% sure...

BTW: Best to install a brake snake so it cant get bent back:

I did one on the gear lever also so I can avoid carrying a spare:
