I just read an article about engine speed and the high wear zones on an engine cylinder that it affects most. It was fascinating (for me, anyway) I'll try and find it.
I've come to the conclusion that at a certain point, if I need to have the engine rebuilt, so be it!

After 12 years of WR ownership without breaking a headlight I figured my luck is running out so I ordered the Parabellum cover today.

Word of caution: do NOT attempt to clean the Parabellum with glass cleaner! I wish that warning was included in the instructions.

Thanks for the heads up! The most cleaning my bike see's is a couple bucks worth of quarters at the car wash.

Out of curiosity what does the glass cleaner do to the plastic?

I couldn't find replacements at Baja Designs anymore. Looks like everything is LED there now.

I found a guy on Craigslist selling all his WR250R plastics as new, including the headlight cowl AND headlight.
He was making a cafe racer out of the bike and wanted $50 for everything!
To each their own, I suppose.

I confirmed with BAJA Designs that the replacement headlights are no longer sold by them.

Produces smudges that are almost impossible to remove.

You have to attach adhesive velcro pads to the cover, so the instructions tell you to clean the surface before attaching the pads; what they don't tell you is to avoid all chemicals when doing so.

After seeing several broken headlights on here and 12+ yrs of WRR ownership also, I was looking at options including the Parabellum but in the end I went with the Moose. Not cheap but works good so far, easy install and I like the way it looks. I would be interested to hear back on your experience with the Parabellum, I almost went with it as a less expensive option.

I know this isn't WR related, but if you are at all interested in stuntmen, especially ones you haven't heard of, you may want to check out this film which is free to stream from the link. It's about Ken Carter, arguably paramount or surpassing Evel in his pursuit of becoming (in)famous. If you aren't hooked in the first 5 minutes, you can have your money back! The nostalgic quality of the film alone is worth it.

    Help!
Does anyone have a broken fuel pump they can sell me?
I broke the Fuel Pump Top Hat.

It is a tiny piece of plastic that connects the fuel pump to the fuel hose.
The dealer only sells the complete fuel pump for $500 Canadian.

There is no part number for the Fuel Pump Top Hat.
The Fuel Pump Complete part number is
    3D7-13907-14-00
3D7-13907-00-00 (older part number, but same part)

See pics attached. It is the part covered in JB weld (tried to fix it). You can see that it comes off. You have to remove it to service the pump itself.
In the parts diagram, see the nipple at the bottom of part 27 that attaches to the fuel hose (part 23?).

Correct, the nipple you broke is not a separate part, you need to buy the complete Fuel Pump Assembly. The good news is that it only costs $230 US from ServiceHonda, or $240 from Rocky Mountain.

I bought a used R3 fuel pump off eBay when I broke mine. The fuel level sensor is different but you can swap the WR one to the R3 pump housing.

I was able to get a complete oem headlight assembly off e bay for less than half of what it costs for just the head lamp.
    I Should be all set.
So sorry to hear about your fuel pump issue the above advice seems reasonable. Hope it works out for you
