So what, a 40 minute commute? Is that too much for him? I was going to do a millenial rant, but @CDN Rick drives all over hell's half acre for work. Don't see him whining about it (only about that damnable Evans)
In these parts that’s a significant drive. Especially since it’s mostly backroads, and much of it in the dark. Even if he did do it, when/if the union calls to accept him, that’s another 90 minutes even farther southeast. Then I’m 7 hours away trying to get this place cleaned, and a new tenant installed.
There’s a lot of logistics, and quite a bit of personal shit, to get sorted. And I’ve got just shy of a week to figure it out.
Thats cause its a heck of a lot better than scraping ice off the top cord of an 8/12 roof then working in slushrain at one degree below freezing for 12 hours a day at minimum wage so that I could go deeper into debt every day while working my ass off....
My job is awesome when I consider it against the crap I've done for money in the past....
For $700 a month, you can afford to not rent it too. Take the job, please
There’s much more to it than that. But yes, that’s something I’m considering.
Between finding a small apartment to rent, a mother in the early stages of dementia 90 minutes from here, a female friend that would need to be jettisoned, and pretty much no riding for a couple of years with already short seasons, I need to decide if I can put that face back on that’s needed for a position like this. This would demand a huge commitment, and a huge amount of discipline, in order to do this the way I’d want to do it. I need to decide how bad I want it.
I’d probably see if I can find someone who you feel is a good fit for renting.
I may not have time. I don’t know yet. I’ll know more next week. And see my edit above.
Sounds like a lot.
Oh HELL no. I rather it sat empty.
Turns out they don't deliver the big rock. They deliver the crushed gravel but not the boulders or slabs.
Had to go get it myself. Ended up with 3 decent flat slabs I'll arrange those for a wall of sorts on my trials mound.
Also, ended up with 5 medium size roundish boulders for other landscaping in the yard I want to do. Had to make it seem like it's not all for fucking around to get the other half to buy into it.
Yeah, this would be like boot camp for at least a year. Maybe more.
