Aaaaaaaand why i think most public trails are shit.
I get the 690 in theory. It's a XRL DR650. I just think the execution kind of sucks. The forks on everyone I've been are garbage and the power delivery was weird.
If was getting a dual sport though, for anything travel/adv/etc., it would be the 500 as well.
The 690 KTM's make zero sense to me. Only ever rode one on the road, but I do not need to ever ride it in the dirt. Moar pointless than tits without nips.
Seemed like a parts bin bike to me. But it sure has a following.
They can be a lot of fun but they taint gonna be tough.
Traveling around the US and kanoodia it would be good. Morer motor than the 500 and little more weight for interstate and highway riding. I mean I taint buying one but I get it.
T7 way moar better. They nailed it with that motor. The 690 is a huge miss IMO.
The newest one here.
There will be a trials event on that property, maybe late next year.
Went for a hike that is literally almost in my back yard this morning. Not sure why I don't come up here more.
The trailhead is literally 2 miles from my house. Sadly nothing in the picture can be ridden legally.
The first pic is ACM approved. Second is a blueberry....
The rest look like fun.
We broke alot of Pulaski handles trying to stick them in a tree from 40 feet when I worked for the FS in high school.
Pretty much. You can have fun if you actually ride a fun bike though.
I want to ride one. It looks pretty great though.
The thing about trails like that is the actual trail is pretty easy, the stuff off to the side is when it can get tough.
I was all set to ride a T7. It was a dealer’s personal bike. But he sold it.
I view the A/T much like I do the 690.
