Don't know. Im looking at seat height and weight + some power.
That's got at least 6" of travel. Won't collapse with some weight, on rear sub frame.
Still looking like a lowered DRZ is it.

    Safety 3rd, fuck it.

I'm not sure I could do the three belts. I tend to roll around in my sleep and would probably hang myself somehow. The net that Taco posted seems like a good idea. Non-intrusive and would keep you off the floor and windshield in the event of heavy braking or a frontal collision. Side impact or rollover, all bets are off.

Maybe some sort of cargo net thing could be fitted, too. Like an old Pullman sleeping car.

Yeah, the view from the bed is straight over the drivers head and to the road. It looks like a quick exit in a collision.

That Woodhouse sleeper is interesting. I like the cargo net thing.

Yes, because they can skirt the NHTSA frontal crash bumper requirements.

Bingo. I think that is exactly what Poolaris is doing. T-Rex too, but you don't see very many of those around. Slingshot's are fairly common around here.

Something like that would keep you from becoming a missile, and hopefully on the bed.

2000# of wood pellets, behind the rear axle of the transit (because that is as far as the forklift driver could reach in). Rear was still not on the bump stops. The sag, when measured at the rear hitch, was 3.35”

The bed is constructed of 3/4” plywood and sized in such a way that it is keyed into the contours of the van and can’t travel forward. It is bolted to the factory tie down/seat belt points. I will add a bit of steel to the structure and connect it to the same points.
