I said "they add some stuff to pass emissions that makes em right not as good as they could, so I'm adjusting that" "oh cool"......and back to her hallmark Christmas movies. :dunno

My grandpa only does RWD. he went out of his way to get a FWD Element as most in our area were AWD. He has no issues getting anywhere. We've all gone soft. :dunno

Again...my grandpa took my brother and I to Devils Lake state park (~3 hour drive) in his 63' vette. I slept on the little shelf in the back. When my grandpa and I would do long trips, he had a bed in the back of his truck (with a topper). I'd hop through the back truck window and sleep back there. But little kids bounce better than geezers so....

Listening to a podcast on my way to work this AM, this skater was talking about his camper van setup he has. When asked what the name was the guy replied "No name, we just call it the GnarV". Bam. Yinzer van name. GnarV :deal

While I feel like your off-road hill stories are kinda like fish stories :lol3 .......Your streets are most definitely far more hilly than what we deal with here in the midwest. Even here I felt how much better proper snow tires were. My E30 BMW was a hoot with snows in winter. Max acceleration.

We got pretty efficient at putting chains on, especially for the 3 mile drive to the bar in the snow storms. What else are ya supposed to do in that kinda weather? :freaky

The ol’ Vista Cruiser wagon when I was a kid had a set stowed in the back. I had a set for that Chevy pickup I spoke aboot. Used them a few times.
