Do like me, pick a dealer that sells both and make them put in the contract that they will honor the $500 to either bike :D
My Raven is on order but you never know what Triumph will bring to the table :D

I plan on getting all the accessories EXCEPT the Yamaha cases! The riders of the world who have the Super Tenere don't seem to be impressed with the Yamaha cases!!

I am hoping Micatech will have the mounting hardware for the Pilots + top case before (or soon after) I get my bike!!

    Best Regards,

Pilot cases only fit the oilhead GS's. The Micatech V2's will fit the SuperTenre. I already have the cases for mine :lol3

My store manager just got his a$$ chomped by a dealer named Bob in North Carolina for selling the Tenere below MSRP! He wouldn't give the name of his dealership, but said we should all band together and charge MSRP.

Jerry asked him how long he had been in business and the reply was 34 years. Jerry then explained that things have changed in the past 34 years and that just seemed to infuriate him.:evil

Oh well, I guess I am off of his guest list for dinner..............

That is pretty funny. I have owned a lot more used bikes than new ones, but I have NEVER paid MSRP for a new bike. That goes back to my first new bike bought back in 1975.
I had a chance to sit on a Super Tenere in Irving, TX last night. :freaky May can't get here soon enough!

Should have mentioned Federal Trade Commission, price fixing, and caller I.D. That would have made his day.

I'm on the same boat. AND I'll probably have a trade in.....

BUT, knowing Triumph, you can forget about different riding modes, shaft drive, combined brake, and all the goodies. You'll get a triple with ABS and you're good to go. Hell, look at the "new" Sprint. 1.5" longer swing arm, real saddle bags, real seat, bit (not much) of a face lift.... off you go.

Tony, I wish you well. You seem like a good guy to do business with. I wish I could get a good deal in my area, and I'd not mind a ride all the way from Texas, but since Alabama is closer and since I've dealt with these peeps before, it was just easier for me to go there.

Remembering the PDP program...a lot of dealers had bikes ordered in some of their families names, this put bikes on the dealership floor come delivery time.

Hey Lotecredneck! Awesome to know the Super Tenere has made it to the USA. I got my '88 3AJ Tenere on Craigslist. Rare as hen's teeth, so they say. Got any vintage Yammies on your lot or any extra parts lying around for the 3AJ you'd be willing to sell? Can't wait to see one of them beasts cruise through Austin!

What is the black trim you have around your windscreen? does it work? is it made by SAENG?

Yep - it is the SAENG product. This is the 3rd bike I have had on it and I am very pleased with it. It basically keeps the flow from a light rain from coming over the top of the windshield. In a heavy rain, I always put my windshield down but I am sure it still helps by keeping some of the rain from coming over.

For crying out loud, there is to be NO poaching in this thread.. if you find a dealer selling the same bike for more or less, we don't want to hear about it in this thread. Punted the last post.

Yep! It was a pretty day and I figured I would head up that way since I got out of house late (and couldn't do the original ride plan)!

Any idea on how long after Yamaha delivers the bikes before Jesse is able to have the Safari luggage ready for it?
