I have a 1990 Yamaha XT600e. This model doesn't have a Tach, but has a bunch of idiot lites in place of it. One is a "REV" lite. I have searched the Service Manual and the Owners Manual. I am unable to find out what it's purpose is. One the wiring diagram, it goes to the TCI, my first thought was a tach lead, but.............. Any thoughts????

So typed it into google. Took me to page 105 of the xt600 thread here on adv. It's a dummy light telling you that you are over revving the engine.
