I have about 20 K miles on Danmoto on 1200 GS no baffle, ever.

It is still doing OK. I will repack this winter. There is no spark arrestor. It is rumored to spit flame on deceleration backfires. The backfires do scatter the deer.

I’ve had the Dan Moto Jisu on mine and I thought it was too loud without the baffle insert and nearly right with it in . I have taken it off for the moment as on longer trips it is just a tad too loud at constant throttle , too loud for my wife to.
Anyone know why the baffle goes in the ‘lower ‘end of the can and not the end ?

How badly does the stock exhaust choke the bike?

I have a Remus oval on my 2010 F800GS. After many years the mounting bracket broke, just cracked in half at the mounting screws and now the muffler is just hanging there unsupported.

A call to Remus was handled great and they shipped me a brand new mounting bracket - no charge. No questions asked, just shipped me a new bracket.

That kind of service on a 10 year old exhaust is the kind of service that makes for a client for life.
