Yet Another Flanny Build!!! - KTM 450 RallyMoto Kit

Hey everyone!

So ever since I saw Ned Suese's Dakar 450 pictured here



I knew I had to have that totally awesome Rally fairing kit as the perfect complement to my 2009 KTM 450.

What drew me to the kit was Ned's interpretation of it's design (which Chris, who I believe is a design engineer, designed). Ned's goal was to have his Dakar bike be as close as possible to his regular dirft bikes since he KNEW that they could take a beating. The kit also had to tkae a beating, and provide good lighting.

What resulted was a minimalist fairing kit, that includes an innovative tower mount, and some ass-kicking high-performance LED headlights from Rigid.

I contacted Chris Vestal, the owner of http://www.rallymotokit.com, and within a few weeks, the box of goodies showed up at my place.

So here then is how the build went, and enventually how it turned out! I hope you all enjoy the ride!

So, I got the bike "stripped" in prep for the install. Here's the film!



Really this just involves taking away anything that is in the triple clamp area. Quite simple really. Here's what the bike looks like after this step.
