I've searched and found only a smattering of comments and any useful information regarding this machine on AdvRider.
So I say to myself, "Self" let's build one and see What happens.
    Here we are Inmates.
    Help ourselves and help others.
Any and all information is welcome and encouraged.
    But No Pissing Contests
    Allowed !
Your thoughts , experiences good and bad.
    Repairs and maintenance.
Part numbers and cross reference info.
Farkles and other goodies, purchased or homemade. You get the idea:clap.
    Let's make it work members.
And as always "Ride Safe" . G.

My problem although a small one is I'm drawn to unique, obscure and down right unpopular motorbikes here in the States . OH well.:loco
I recently found a 99 Peg cube nearby. Has been stationary for several years , fair condition and in need of the usual services
    (carb/tank clean, fluids, etc, etc).
The price is firm at $1400 , so I'm wondering if this could be a viable candidate for salvation?
What say you friends? 00g0g_4rd4MaaHxka_1200x900.jpg 00P0P_eHyKYAO4vbm_1200x900.jpg

Thanks for being the first respondent Lupin. I've checked that forum in the past as well. Lots of great info for Aprilia fans.
Lol, one dedicated bike for me also. But which bike for what day? I have maybe 4 too many, sold one yesterday and already I'm shopping for another:loco. Gotta love it.
Keep those replies coming inmates . And,
    Don't forget the photos.

I can’t offer advice but I certainly sympathize. If I ever have cash and opportunity at the same moment, I’ll have one of those.

If you can't take it for a ride at least sit on it for a while; I have one and find the seat to be extremely uncomfortable in the way it slants forward & shoves you into the tank. I bought an ATV seat pad from walmart that I folded in half which helps immensely.

    https://www.amazon.com/MadDog-GearComfort-Ride-Seat-Protector/dp/B006JMK7N8

Folded in half, it perfectly fits in the valley between the pillion and tank.

The aftermarket is non-existent & what OEM parts AF1 doesn't stock take the slow boat from Europe. Quite a bit seems to be going NLA also. Some BMW parts interchange from the early Funduro, but not all that much. Part costs are odd as well, some things that seem like they should be cheap are expensive and vice-versa. The carburetor is a real SOB, fine when you run it regularly but doesn't like sitting at all.

Runs out of juice about 65-70 on the highway. Speedometer reads a pretty consistent 5 over. All that said, it's a fun bike when in its element...dirt back roads & two lane slab.

Have one. Have loved one for about 30K miles. I LOOOOVE this bike. I agree that AF1 and Ebay are the way to go for parts. I have no trouble with maintenance and replacement parts through those sites.

Getting ready for a trip to Death Valley at the end of February. Get that sucker running and join in the fun that is sure to be a test on this bike!!

    Just a quick update,,
I never did purchase the bike I initially found. Deal didn't materialize. Oh well. But,, I definitely would tender the idea of a purchase if it was a good deal and available. Lol, :lol2 nothing is off the table.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
    Don't drink and drive/ride.
    Cheers,:beer G.
