Wait till spring and come over and camp. Makes a great weekend trip. Close enough to my house for repairs if needed.

that sounds cool to me, although I seriously doubt any of these NWA folks would camp with me!

Just a few pics of a ride Peter and I made earlier this month. Nothing spectacular, just a good day out wandering in Marion County.

That's Peters XR650L. It's been heavily reworked by Al Bakers XR's Only. Good running machine. I was on the big yella pig, or a GS take yer pic. lol

Lot's of good roads around here to play on, I just can't seem to get out enough to enjoy them.

BTW, Peter's a hale and hearty 72 years old and is loving dual sporting. His road ride is a Beemer K1200S, so he's kinda fun to hang out with.

Halloween weekend. Where to go? What to do?

    I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eureka Springs. They oughta have something different going on for Halloween. :lol3

I look up ES events for the weekend, sure enough. Diversity Weekend, Halloween events galore, DFW Beemer guys, and enough folks wandering the streets in costume to make me think I'm back at Mardi Gras.:evil

    Let the games begin...

The whole reason for the trip was for some of us to meet Miss Winzers potential husband. I mentioned to him at first meeting that this was to be an intervantion for him. :rofl
The joke was on me, as we sat down for lunch Saturday afternoon Miss Winzer informed us that she had just completed day 10 as Mrs. Jones. :eek1

So, let me introduce you to Mr. & Mrs. Jones.

Terry works for a small town municipality in central Kansas, rides a big Kwakker cruiser, and is quite a nice fellow. Kat is an elementary school music teacher and rides a mid-size Kwakker cruiser. A marriage made in a showroom.

Also joining us were Dennis, Kevlyn, and Mrs. O'Jay.

Lunch was at Sparkys Roadhouse Cafe. Good food, and a great place to hang out and visit.
You can also be drunk in 4 different time zones.

After lunch we got out for a short ride. Being as the others had never seen the bridge over by DRZCharlies, that's where we headed.
This was Dennis & Kevs first longer trip on the new Spyder. Sure is an unusual machine...

The experienced married wimmen give pointers to the newbie married chickie. This bodes ill for Terry. :lol3
    [IMG]

We go from girls on a rail, to drunks on a rail. No one fell off, in spite of efforts to do so it seemed. lol
    [IMG]

We went to the Daily Roast, got some coffee, and wandered over to Basin Spring Park to listen to music and do some people gawking. These guys were playing some good tunes. The upright bass is made from a plastic fuel tank.

I think the mandolin player was trying out for the sequel of Brother, Where Art Thou...

The best Halloween makeup job I saw all day.

This young lady rode past a buncha times. This is pass #40 I think...:evil
    [IMG]

Miss Winzer(sorry, Mrs Jones) had some kinda giggling fit for no apparent reason. She's sucha happy girl.

All this black & orange makes me wonder...
Does he ride a KTM? Or a Harley...

Cap'n Jack Sparrow apparently works part time here to fill in between pirating gigs.

Someone's trying to put the local mortician outta business...

Back at the motel I found all these guys had showed up. The DFW Beemer group had made a ride to ES for the weekend. Yellaphant had company.:clap

Dinner Saturday night was at the Pied Piper Pub, but I forgot my camera cuz there sure were some sights in there. Then again, maybe it's a good thing. :puke1

After breakfast Sunday morning we all headed our separate ways to home. The Jone's go KS, the Dodd's to TN. We headed south to Oark. :evil

Along the way we happened upon this.

    And this...

We arrived at Oark and found a seat. Since we had eaten a big breakfast just a few hours earlier we just had pie and coffee. Mrs O'Jay had the blueberry w/vanilla ice cream. I had pecan w/caramel pecan ice cream. No pics, it didn't last all that long. :evil

While we were eating I heard thumping exhaust's outside. I was wondering which of the NWA guys would come clumping in.
Instead it was yet another bunch of Dallasites. (don't these guys ever go home?:evil ) lol
Seems they single handedly kept a Suzuki dealer in business for a bit.

Yellaphant maintains an aloof distance away from the Japanese commoners...

We headed out NF1003, riding slow because of all the new gravel that had been put down. The colours along the creek bottom were great, and the weather perfect.

Up on Hwy 21 it was just as pretty.

Some pics from Boxley at the Buffalo River Trailhead.

From there we wandered our way back home. A great weekend spent with good friends, good riding, and good weather. I'm ready for another.

    See y'all out there somewhere.

Nice report, O'Jay. Sorry I couldn't make it. I was down in Texas Hill Country for the Roll the Bones Rally. It was a blast.
