"Flooding" and "roads out" are relative terms in the UP. :evil

nobody told me there would be bears up there! CHICKENHAWK came fender to snout with a black bear, about 5 miles south of Iron River, headed into WI. Good trip so far. The ride between Houghton and copper harbor was amazing. Now it's off to the casino to let the indigineous peoples get some payback!

That's not all that is up there... a couple of weeks ago when I was up, I ran into a pack of wolves milling around out on the Iron River-Marenisco route. Go figure, I've never seen them up there... until I'm nursing a broke bike back....:D They were pretty skittish though....Husky bikes and people must not taste that great....:puke1

Well, I survived, the KLR performed admirably...or should I say AWESOME!!! The black bear incident was AWESOME!!! The black bear was amazing. THE UP is amazing. Route 26 between Hancock and Copper Harbor was a total blast. bfd70 and I saw plenty of trails that looked like they'd be a lot of fun on the KLR. Great riding with great friends. Sláinte
