OKAY YALL, lucky signing in. let the posting begin.

thanks everyone for a great ride. it wqas great meeting everyone.

WE STARTED in the dawsonville georgia at 9 a.m. at a chilly 39 degrees. 20 riders in all showed up. this ride awesome!! everything from technical, red clay, rocks, gravel, water, mud, slab and some places off road you could hammer it down.

we managed to get back to the meeting place at 10pm or so, with only one injury (hope your doing ok) and one flat tire (and yes slime works).

i think almost everyone fell at least once, wether it was riding or walking to take a piss. everyone got cold as soon as the sun went down 4:30 pm. and the people that chose not to bring a coat got very creative towards the end of the ride.

good ride great people and ok food

Alright, I'll chime in with some pics that I took. I'll be leaving later this afternoon so excuse me if it seems I'm in a hurry here.

First creek crossing was just insane. 20 minutes after departure, I just knew I was in trouble if this was what most of the ride would be like.:huh

Wheedle on the rock schooling everyone for the correct line.

Then, we were guided over to this real cool swinging bridge by our guide leader Flux.

We walked to it from here.

Somewhere after the last stop there was an off-road biff. Here's the story.

Here's the remainder of a footpeg.

    Here's the reaction.

    No doubt!

I was really impressed with your talent no longer than you've been riding. What was it, you're fourth trip out?

Yep, I'm the one that crashed. I guess after 14 years with no crashes, I'm trying to make it all up in 1 year! :rofl

Here's my story of what happened
Thanks again guys for all your well wishes. It was a rough night and I'm sure today won't be much better. I'm so pissed at myself for going through this again. I'm reminded once again how much cracked ribs suck. I'm also disapointed in myself that I forgot my chest protector. I had on decent gear, but the chest protector is just so important when you are doing riding like this. I know it would have helped me and maybe even prevented the cracked rib.

Here are the pics of the bike. It faired pretty well for what it went through

Bent brake lever & broken blinker
    [IMG]

Crunched foot peg. (Nice job, eh?)

Top view of the foot peg. It's not bent up, it's totally crushed in flat
    [IMG]

    Dented exhaust
    [IMG]

Tweaked handlebars. Right side bent back towards the rider.

It still was a good day riding none the less

I was fine until it got dark....
When I got hung up on that rock in the creek, I was in water over my knees, so my boots were full of water already.....
