Cannot people see how many things are totally wrong with that video from a creative and marketing stand point?
Seriously, independently of the bikes and/or brand.
Any smart stakeholders should run those brains behind out of town. There is a systemic lack of creativity and ingenuity.
It is not just HD but car makers and many other areas. Seriously.
Sometimes I am shocked some of these 'thinking heads' went to business and finance schools, for what?
Ok that's actually reasonable. You see you can do it if you try, guess the Duc got some sense into you, not all of it got shaken away by the Harley :) I'll pass it to my buddy, and no, he is not on any forums, quite wisely.
Wow. Good catch.
Great Touring Bike Deals Coming To An Estate Sale Near You, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Hopes To Welcome 250,000
Oh man, that headline stings. F#ck me, Sturgis is on? Jeezus don't do it.
The bad boy biker image may have died off decades ago if not for Hollywood. "The Wild Ones" probably started a lot of youth down that path.
Guess the kids were hung up on the leather jackets and not the brand of bike though.
Yep, they will have a quarter million people in the town, exchange viruses and then head home on the American roads, stopping at each little town along the way to leave Corona virus presents for everyone.
What a sh!t show. Irresponsible c#nts.
Unbelievable that the governor or local councils would allow that. Way beyond the pale. :-(
That seems like a local dealership video, not a factory marketing video. And it's meant to be funny. Nobody should take it seriously. Motorcycle commercials/commercials with motorcycles are mostly funny regardless of brand, and many use sexuality and outlaw images, regardless of brand. Chill out and take some in:
By that definition Ducati has already died. Just a VW now.
Mini is just a BMW, or course it traded hands many times before that.
Ferari, Masserati , Lancia and Alpha Romeo are just Fiats.
Guzzis, and Aprila are just Piagios.
There are lots of consolidations going on at the moment.
My Ducati has been the best bike I've owned/ownership experience I've had, and yet they are hated on almost as much as HD. I had an HD *clone*(!) cruiser rider ask me once,"Why the hell did you buy that?" I almost said, "If I have to explain..." lol...
Almost entirely because of the unfair stereotype of Ducati owners, along with some outdated perceptions about what it takes to maintain one.
I believe this is called irony.
Some folks over here want’s this pandemic shit to be over sometime soon
That's actually a good motorcycle, and a reasonable jacket.
But do Ducati owners get mortally offended and clutch their pearls like Harley owners? No they don't, they're the first to laugh, then twist the throttle and disappear beyond the horizon. Try to do it on a Harley, you'd hit a lamppost.
The virus doesn't care what folks want.
I had a Harley rider inform me he wouldn't buy one of those when I pulled up on my dry clutch ST4. I started to say something smart alec but decided it would be a waste.
Few here will understand your message.
"Yeah, I can understand that. These Ducati's aren't designed to carry so much weight".
"Yeah, the performance is so much better not everyone can ride one"
"Good on you for recognizing your limitations"
