Obviously a lot can change in ten years. Now, imagine if North America had some version of Europe's ELV Directive, and we could have it both ways... buy new vehicles as often as we want, and actually be good citizens in the process.

Great post. At the end of the day, people are people. I just called my contractor to ask him why he hadn't gotten back to me about my roof in three days. Well, his wife died last night. That'll do it.

How awful. And I'm finding this year that you need a little more empathy than usual to get through the day. You really just never know what people are going through.

Yeah, you seem angry in most of your posts. Maybe its just the medium, all I see are white words on a black screen. Maybe its the wording. I don’t know.

While I agree with the end result, and the reason behind it, that particular incident had nothing to do with corporate. That is on the dealer.

Why do you write lit this?

    One sentence per line.

The a full line space between each sentence.

    It is annoying to read.

Are you a failed poet who needs an outlet?

Then I suggest a poetry forum.

If you use normal paragraph structure, it is easier to read.

Clean it towards zero, as in switching to nuclear and solar. An elephant in the room ignored by the luddites.

Nope just stating the facts, you said they wouldn’t sell you the bike not me you didn’t mention in your rant they didn’t have the bike a lot of dealers do that not just Harley or even just motorcycles car dealers do it too.
You had a bad dealer experience so that makes the brand bad because you got your feelers hurt?

If you recalled some story from 20 years ago it would be even more critical of EVs. Or some story from 60 years ago how typewriters are superior to the computers.

And ELV is all about hazardous waste, and is likely to increase, not decrease, the carbon footprint of the vehicles, which will incur during the recycling process. Not that’s a bad thing, but still...

Love them, make my living this way. “No likey”half-wits distorting them. And guess where is the highest density of the half-wittery?

We really do need nuclear power plants to gain some steam again (pun intended). Every since Fukushima, there has been more fear than usual surrounding nuclear plants as a long-term solution.

It really would be great if we would start developing nuclear power again in the US. The newer plants are very nice, and very safe. Zero emissions. Along side solar, it is a win win.

Ringing a dealer 1000km away to confirm that they have the model that I am interested in before buying a ticket to fly there is hardly phone shopping.

No, I stated that I was lied to. More than once by several different dealers.
That is not a one off thing, the stories were similar so to me that is on corporate.

Weird that I could fly half way across my country and buy a different brand bike without drama.
