No shit. I get that same thing at almost every fuel stop:

"Nice bike - what is that?"

    "Thanks, it's a KTM."

"KTM huh? Who makes that, Kawasaki?"

    "Yes, it's a Kawasaki." :thumb

I was told that LC8 owners are morally obligated to run slightly loud pipes to let the guy behind them know when to duck. Puts a whole new meaning on the saying "Loud pipes save lives" :lol3

When your friends make you ride in the back because of the size of the boulders your tire flings:eek1

Yeah, my Ténéré just sits and sits and sits. It's a great bike, but it has made me appreciate my 950 Adventure all the more.

I know the feeling Tangai. My Busa has a new engine and I'm still spending all my time on the 950

I was forced they are being replace by the computerized 1190:

Then you spend most of the winter to transfer all the goodies from the old bike and pre scratched plastic to it:

And you keep the old bike and set it up for street use and convince your father to buy a 950 also (transalp he had is now sold):

When you read 39 damned pages dating back to May of 2010 after a single day of riding your new 950SE.

Brand new to OC, and I can almost see what I've gotten myself into. No bike has ever made me smile like this...on the first day and on god-awful Heidenau tires (which I'll replace ASAP). YES!

    This bike is THE BOMB!

Gotta love it, even when we do it to ourselves.

I just bought a 04 950. My mouth did it mainly but I love the bike I pick it up tomorrow. It is the silver one. I'll post pics when I get her home.

So what exactly did your mouth do to 'purchase' a 950?
