Not exactly a hairpin, but close. This is somewhere on CA 190 heading from Springville toward Camp Wilson. A great ride if you're near Sequoia National Park, BTW! And the panoramic shot of the same curve:

somewere on the Dolomite's Thomas from Touratech USA. My turn, No Helmet yeah I know. In four days we when by more hairpins that I have ever ride in my whole life, totally awesome. The stelvio pass I think, one of this places everybody needs to ride before they dye.
You're on the Passo di Gavia, south ramp. Passo del Tonale is at the far end in the valley below and just to the east...does that sound familiar?
Hyw 366 near Safford Arizona basicly a 23 mile paved go cart track followed by a 12 mile curvy dirt road w/ a beautiful lake and campground at the end ( but dont tell anyone its a secret)

Oh you Lucky nan, yes I'm pretty sure that is the area. No wonder so many great motorcyclist come out of those mountains.. Global do you have any trip reports on that area...!?!? I can not wait for the day of my return, those roads are the closest thing to a "Bobsled" track I have ever carve.
