I ran across this small dam recently.

I don’t know if this spring box is WPA/CCC construction but I suspect it was. Looks to be about the right timeframe, quality. It’s cool anyway.
Located on WV25 about a mile west of the Va./Wv. line below Reddish Knob and intersection of Rockingham/Augusta Va. county lines and Pendleton Co., Wv.
My father was in the CCC’s, built fire towers from a camp in Whitehall, Va. He loved it, said it was one of the best times of his life.

Didn't get the bike in the pics, but I worked here in college. Do have a pic at the entrance when I worked there in the 70s.
There is an outside chance that my grandfather worked on this project! I found out rather recently, that he did some time with the CCC out of Columbus Ga./ Ft. Benning, up until he went into the Army in WWII. It was through his experience with the CCC that he ended up as a Combat Engineer, assigned to the 86'th Infantry Division (Blackhawks).
City Jail Durant, OK WPA 1937-38. From a 1980's survey of WPA structures in OK. "Pillasters on either side of the front doorway and a horizontal frieze at the top of each exterior wall hint at art deco style"... As a WPA structure, the Durant city jail is unique in type and materials. Within the community the building is notable because of its allusion to art deco style, its type, it's materials, and its character of workmanship."
