Had to turn around
^^Here in Northern ID we keep going...
Oh...we do that here too; but I was on my own on that trip through California. I was tempted to give it a try. I asked around and confirmed that it was impassable. I didn't want to take unnecessary risks.
I hate locked gates.
My map showed this as a private road. My map is twenty years old. I hoped things had changed. Nope, had to turn around.
Near the Fundy Coast, New Brunswick, Canada
One from the other side.
Small bridge over cranberry creek, deemed unsuitable for traffic. On White road, Linden Mi.
The time I misinterpreted the open/closed road info for Crater Lake:
This one is weird. The road just dead ends in the lake. No warning signs, no guardrails, nothing. I could see a BMW rider actually trying to make it across.
Southernmost road on the planet. Then off to Alaska (2008).
not literally " dead end ", but for my lil scooter, this is the point of return, a tree collapse right in front of my eyes.
Dieng highland, Java Island, Indonesia
I didn't seem to have any issues with this closed road, made it through just fine. "Roads?? Where we're going we don't need roads."
