Devils Lake, Michigan
I'm cleaning out the computer and came across this very memorable pic from a couple of years ago. It was taken about an hour after getting off the ferry during which I tried to enjoy a cup of what they called coffee. I can tell you that just past the mechanic's trailer inside the left-hand bay is the hallway to the men's room. I will also tell you that you really can get out of a full Roadcrafter in mere seconds.

Either they got pretty short trucks or that's a helluva swing into there.
Wow, it sure as heck is. I can't find what apparatus they keep in there.
One of the stations that I worked at for yrs if someone parked a car across the street you could not get the Ladder out in one swing. If the main Ladder was OOS we would sometimes have a "snorkel" and in order to back it into the station you had to nose it into the driveway across the street.
That's a great looking station. Bet there's some history inside those walls.
(Btw, currently reading McCullough's The Pioneers and Sandusky was mentioned in a chapter I read just today. Looked it up on the map.)
