Sometimes it's hard to get bikes and tents in the same picture.

Oh my yup has nothing to do with camping and the 29 day long camping trip it was part of. This was taken the night I saw 8 bears a cougar and a wolf after a 1000 mile day all of which were close enough to be a serious danger. If I wanted a "LOOK AT ME POST"
I WOULD HAVE INCLUDED THE BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON THE PICTURE this was taken at thompsons eagle claw motorcycle campground if you ever pass through tok you should stop and have a steam bath and stay the night

Bought mine in 1992 and it has been through Europe, AK to Baja, coast to coast US and a lot of areas not listed.
Broke a pole once and even though out of production, North Face fabricated one on the spot at no charge. Now that is standing behind your product!

Yep. And the timing sounds about right. I think mine was around '92 also. That was the OLD North Face. I had the Mountain jacket they replaced for me. Back when they had the lifetime warranty. I am sure you know. That was a different company. For years now, they are more upscale for people who want to look like they go outdoors.

1995 strolled into the Berkeley facility after breaking the fabricated pole . Guy told me to have a seat and 35-40 minutes later handed me the pole and said "should have never broken, on the house" (didn't know about lifetime warranty). I've tried to go back there as often as possible when in the Bay Area as they sold stuff at discount prices, but around 1998 or so it had shuttered up. Had me as customer for life after that perfect service experience....until about a year ago when my bag, which I purchased in 1986, finally failed me. Went the Big Agnus route as better bang forth buck for me.

Funny. I also have a BA. Single man tent. Only used it a couple of times though. Unlike the North face tent which I used the hell out of.

The only other tent that I have used as much was a weirdo 4 season tent called Quest Preying Mantis 4S. Great 4 season tent but heavy as hell and took a set of burglar tools to setup. It was huge and had an enormous vestibule to cook in and strong as hell. They haven't made it for years but it was my goto tent for winter camping in the White mountains and Adirondacks. Never had to worry about the weight because I usually had a sled I would pull in the winter.

My Vaude tent has served me well but is past it's prime, the aluminium poles break every now and then, as shown in this photo.
