Panamint Springs, with a bit of a sand storm blowing up in the background. Winds hit 70+ MPH that evening. Tent survived, barely.

Had a couple-three days free for a quick trip. The Georgia Guidestones served as a do-able destination. Google them for an interesting story. Went through the Sumter NF on the way home, this is Thrift's Ferry dispersed "campground." I'm really liking the cheap-o Walmart tent, adding my hammock rainfly gives me a "porch" for gear, or sittin' if it's raining. And no, I didn't saw those big logs with my folding saw.

I hope that is a parking lot and not a road pavement you're camped on.

    Nice rig.

I Googled the Georgia Guidestones. Fascinating (if not a little crazy)!

I think the concept is that some undefined apocalyptic event will have already done that, and the population limit is just advice for any survivors.

Truly a uniquely-weird structure, and no commercialized sideshow attached. Crazy as it may be, it's creators were apparently sincere.
