Well, I was at the 2019 CK and I'm pretty sure I was the only one in a hammock, so yep, that would have been me. I'll be missing the 2020 Cold Kiwi though, going to the first WRC (World Rally Championship) to come to NZ in 8 years, I have been to each one since 1999.

I set up the Tensa stand and use a 10kN carabiner attached to the short cordage that connects the tops of the poles. I'm using a hammock with straps and cinch buckles which lets me have a shorter length than i had with my Whoopie Slings. Keeping the hammock suspension as short as possible makes it easier to have the entire stand & hammock properly underneath my 13' tarp.

My setup seems to work well in any weather, giving me good protection from wind & rain when I need it. This year at the Burt Munro Rally there was a lot of wind and rain, so I was glad my setup did the job well for me.

Yes, the Tensa extensions. Before they released the extensions I used to use 2 of my adjustable tarp poles, but the extensions are quicker & easier.

The little skeeters will try to pick you up and carry you away so the BIG slow ones can't get you.
Suggest 00buck or slugs as repellent.
