Show me some shots of your bike the day you picked it up. New in the showroom. Not a bike you wish you had, but one you signed the papers on. The year doesn't matter, as long as it's yours.

April 2012: First one I saw in person. Texted this crappy cell phone pic to my wife. Rode the bike home the following day. Currently for sale in Flea Market, btw. ;)

March 2015: Haven't seen it in person yet - dealer sent me this crappy cell phone pic. Picking it up next weekend:

Kinda beastish- at least the way I originally used it :lol3 and sometimes still do

I still have the SM and have ~50,000 miles on it.

And though that SE is not mine, a friend bought it after seeing this picture

I bought an SE a year later- still have it, and have ~38,000 miles on it.

    Bwahahaha! Mine, all mine!

One funny little thing I remember that day was the salesman placing a "SOLD" sticker on the seat to keep others off the bike while I came back the next day to pick it up.

Flew down to SF to close the deal, then had the bike delivered to my home in Oregon[IMG]:D

I would have ridden it home, but thanks to California's greedy tax laws, that ride would have cost over $1000:huh.

Yeah, I had the BMW for 7 months. Wasn't the bike's fault - the problem was BMW's legendary customer service.

Waiting for me to pick up. Dealer said, "I figured you enduro guys wouldn't mind a new bike sitting in the rain.." Cleanest it'll ever be:1drink

Mine never hit the salesfloor. It went from a crate in service in the morning to the front of the building that afternoon... which is where I fell in love.

Looking at these makes me regret not taking pics of my new bike purchases. My last new bike, my 2007 Wee Strom wasn't even an exciting purchase for me. I bought it cause I needed a bike to ride to Alaska and fully intended on selling it when I was done. I guess it grew on me cause I still have it.
