For the love of all things good, why is it that most motorcycle shops and stores are closed on Monday? Don't tell me it's cause they are open on Saturday. And don't tell me most of them are mom and pop operations. So are many convenience stores and they find a way to be open seven days a week! Am I to understand that the biggest motorcycle dealer in Jackson can't schedule one or two employees to run a cash register for a day? Is there so little interest in buying motorcycle gear or motorcycles for that matter on Monday that it's not worth opening? Can't one of the shop guys come in on Monday and just sit on a stool and sign in bikes for repair? C'mon motorcycle type places, open your doors when it's convenient for ME!!!!!!!:deal

The practice bothers me too! I typically break stuff on the weekend and come monday need a replacement part. Face is Jackson, Ms. sucks for motorcycle sales and service whether it is on monday or not and it has been that way for years.

Amen... i was going to buy some spare inner tubes and some other gear I needed, and I try to support local businesses, but this closed on Monday stuff sucks. Several of the local BOAT shops do it, too... Everyone takes their boat out on weekends and if it breaks, want to get it dropped off on Monday, but it won't happen...

Of course KICKSTAND is open on Monday's isn't it? :deal

Yeah I always need something on monday too! I think that business practice at motorcycle shops started because back in the day all or most of the employees raced on sundays and used mondays to rest up. These days most employees at the shops dont even ride motorcycles..at least here they dont. Back in the 80's and 90's if there was a local race you would see all the people from the motorcycle shops at that race.

Honda/Yamaha of North Little Rock is open on Mondays. Ft. Worth BMW is open on Monday. But finding a dealer that stocks anything besides oil is another story. Thank goodness for the internet.

there's quite a few shops that are closed on monday because it's the day after race day. Most Bike races are on Sunday and a lot of them race. or use to. it has became the norm I guess.

at lest that's what I've always heard. and i know the local shop is closed on Monday for that reasion.

Bike shops have been that way since at least the 1960's, so you may as well get used to it. The owners know that Monday riding's better too. :rofl

Instead of the staying in the whinery, why not plan ahead, and stop by ze local shoppe on the preceding Saturday?.

anyone one that has ever raced knows Mondays SUCK!!!. and like Tosh Togo said it's been that way since the 60. take a local shop that goes to a race a few states over. The race ends 2 or 3 in the afternoon then you have awards. they probably didn't drive back till the next day and that was Monday. it's the norm. we just have to deal with it.
