Just wanted to start a thread to see all the TX and Gulf state riders favorite trip pics. Choose one or two of your all time favorite ride pics. Does not have to be about location, company, or even content. Just a picture that you like because of the memories it brings back, or that represents you and how you ride.

    Here is one of mine

Impossible to pick just one, but I'll achieve the impossible.

Camped on the north end of Lake Powell last October. Camping here was a complete accident that proves some of the best stuff happens when things stop going as planned.

BIL wanted to ride part of Route 66 for his 66th bd. We did a family tour to the Grand Canyon and back home through Scottsdale, AZ and across TX. My BIL and sister rode from FL and met up with my brother and me in MS. A 12-day trip that I will never forget. (We watched Wild Hogs multiple times prior to the trip to get in the right frame of mind)

Wow!!! I never thought this would be so difficult. I have literally looked through thousands of pictures. This is the one I keep coming back to. This is the story:

It was the end of a very long day and I had been on an emotional roller coaster. We had been on the bikes since 7am, we had seen some of Americas most spectacular landscape, we had been stuck in the sand, we spent an hour or more trying to find a way out of an endless maze of sand, there were crashes 75 miles away from the closest phone, riders were injured, people were getting confrontational, bikes were breaking down, several of the bikes were close to running out of fuel, and I felt responsible for all of it.

When we finally made it back to civilization, I just needed to be by myself. I fueled up the bike and headed for the highest point around. I reach the top of a trail that I had no business riding this late in the day. I get off the bike, remove my helmet, and lay down on a rock slab the size of Rhode Island and close my eyes. I’m lying there trying to decide if it was all worth it; was I really enjoying myself? I lay there listening to the wind as time becomes meaningless. I open my eyes, take this picture, and almost instantly, I realized that it was a perfect day.

Tough one, but this one keeps coming to the front:

    The Story:
Peaches and I rode most of the MS Hill Country Trail in November '09. Others were supposed to ride with us, but the weather forecast just kept looking worse and worse, fluctuating between rain and snow. The night before the trip, I called Peaches to get his feelings on the ride... I ask "What's up man?" His reply "I'm at Academy getting Sno-Seal for my boots." I had my answer:lol3.

It was 37* when I left my house and quickly dropped to about 33* and started raining. It rained all damn day, mixed with sleet on occasion. We finally got damn near hypothermic and stopped to dry out at this church. I'm not sure how long we stayed there, but it was well over an hour. We ate a little bit and kind of dried out and warmed up a little. Damn that was a fun day :ricky

Prior to this pic, we had ridden well over 200 miles, including the trickiest parts of Hwy123, forged across the Big Piney River and at one point had to push start the GS, due to a weak battery. It was a good day for me and my 7yo boy. :clap

Another good one. This one is from the first big group ride I went on with the Jackson crew. July 2009 I believe. Made a lot of friends that day!
