My first street legal dirtbike was my 04 DRZ400S. My parents were very against me ever riding on the street while growing up, but they did keep me furnished in dirt bikes. I remember seeing a Yamaha 80 and 100 street legal dirt bike in the showroom in the 1970's, I remember the brochure showed a kid riding it going fishing. Oh the visions I had:D ...but the parents wouldnt have it.

My first adv bike is actually the first motocycle I learned on when I was about 12. I'll try and find an actual pic of the bike, but here's what they looked like. VERY rare bike in the states.

Mine was a 1979 Gemini Boss 80. A taiwanese 2 stroke 7.5hp beast of an adv bike hahaha.

That Gemini reminds me of a Yamaha enduro bike in early 70s.

New here, been bikeless for the last 15 years or so, just got back in
the saddle and can't believe how much I've missed!
First mc was a '73 Honda 550-Four. Did a little dirt-roading with it, if
you want to call that adventure... after that, '85 GS1150e and then
    a ('84 I think) XT600. My new-to-me ride :D

Naw, I'm in a death match with it now. Besides it's a lot better bike than it's worth now with character.:lol3 It may have one or two pieces of plastic that's not scuffed up. The front wheel is still matted with deer hair. Right arm may be good enough in a week to put the new parts on it and give it a bath - I've only oiled the chain on it since deer day (March 14).

This is my first motorcycle of any sorts. My brother and I finally convinced our parents to let us get a motorcycle. Of course the only reason they consented was because this particular bike was in many pieces inside of two peach baskets. My brother, father, and I spent one summer in the garage with a Clymer manual and rebuilt this little gem. We put thousands of miles on this bike on and off the road. This picture is after I restored it a few years ago. The picture is priceless because my dad is now gone but the memory of that summer is for ever etched in my mind.
