996DL, actual displacement and model of my DL1000. I will always love the motor, being a long gone bevel head, but the rest is the biggest mc disappointment, I've made in 40 yrs. :puke1 :lol3

Thank Heavens for the DR650 ! :raabia

I've been riding since I was 12, and I'm now 52. Most of those years were spent on trials bikes at events all over Canada , the USA and a handful overseas. Whenever I found myself at some other type of event ( hare scramble, MX, road race, DS ride, etc), I invariably get referred to by others there as 'the trials guy'. As in....."somebody made it up that snotty hill with the log across it". ..... " Oh ya, that was the trials guy on the KTM"

Mine comes from one of my son's friends that spent the day chasing me (actually just trying to keep me in sight) around back roads of Pennsylvania, on his CBR1000RR.

End of the day he says to me, you know you're Pretty Fast For an Old Guy , thus the screen name was born.

I have 3 adult son's that ride, and have done several track days with me, and even when they are on my CBR600F3 track bike, I am still faster than them on the overweight, underpowered boxer. The deal is they cannot call me old until they are faster on the track.

"Woofer" was this cartoon dog character that me and my friend used to draw comics about in the back of class when we attended PMS (Parksville Middle School, yes, its real name, located in SD #69). That plus the fact that well, dogs make great companions. It has nothing to do with workers on organic farms. The "260" is from my Datsun 260Z which I kept, and worked over a period of 10 years before I figured that if I was going to ingest that much CO, I might as well smoke cigarettes, so I ditched the car. "9" has always been my favourite number.

What can I say? I despise the white stuff and the temperatures that cause it. Rather unfortunate, considering where I live.:cry
It does, however, provide a good excuse (and opportunity) for some bike dvd's and a few captain and coke:1drink

No explanation of your username req'd for me. If I'd run across your handle sooner and given it some thought I might have a different user name. fink ployd, gavid dilmour come to mind, yours has a better ring to it though.

BTW: your plate is missing the day sticker. :D

    No not a Staples ad.

Built and flew a home built aircraft some years ago.

    Long-EZ by Burt Rutan

1000+ hours defying gravity with it. Only problems were 2 flat tires at non-critical times.

Made it to 20,000 feet using Oxygen as a test. Not bad for a Carburetored engine and wood prop.

Pusher prop, Canard wing in front, around 180 mph, 1500 ++ mile range, Carries 2 people, 52 gals of gas and very little luggage.

Been all over this country with it. Coast to coast, North to South and East to West many times. Hoping now to retrace many of those miles on a Dual Sport.

i used to be a hyper mofo (in my youth) and spent many years bouncing around in a dope stupor... ricocheting, as it were, from reality to reality. (or not)
    interplanetary traveler,
    space cowboy,
    blah blah blah...
there's also been an alter ego thing- Rick O'Chet, that *Irish* guy....
i've also been known as Matt(e) Black, in other circles... but i digress.

Didn't notice the day sticker missing. Hopefully they will send me another without jail time....Appreciate the heads up. My bike is Arizona for the winter so I have some time to rectify this. Jick :clap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hvavz3ESus&feature=fvwrel
