The sign is good! All hail the sign!

OK, I'll be the first to ask the ignorant question: Where is it?

    GPS coords, please. :1drink

What fun would that be. One has to find "the sign" in order to be worthy. :)

And how old is the sign? I saw it there in 1989. Anybody know? :ear

I'm not ashamed, I'll second that. Seen dozens of photos, still not exactly sure where it is. Somewhere in the northwest though, that I know.

What's the deal on the red No Weasels sign?
I've seen several of those in the strangest places.

    Wauw,

    that's a great sign.

I never got above 35 km's (about 22 miles) which I found in Spain during an allroad trip.

My first encounter on a motorcycle with the sign ocurred in the summer of 2002 when my wife and I rode it while at a rally in a nearby town. Here's the picture of the sign (I wasn't cool enough to put the motorcycle in the picture).

Since then about every year (sometimes multiple times per year) I've passed by it.

Over Labor Day, 2006, a friend and I did a trip that put the sign in our crosshairs.

This year, I've seen it without taking a picture of it. While the sign may be passe, the road is definately not.

I've ridden by this sign and the one on the other end so many times and I don't have a picture of it anywhere. Guess I need to take a fall ride just to get a pic. of my bike and the sign:D There's a terrific Forest Service campground on the Montana end that I like to camp at and Lochsa Lodge has wonderful cheese cake.

Any reason for a ride is a danged good reason.

How about some pics of that "winding road" along different sections of it for those that haven't been...so far, I've only seen straight road.

BTW, where is that road; between what two points? Maybe a Google map of it?

    Thanks!

I looked it up on Google Maps. From the map, it looks like most of the twisty part is in Idaho. Is it called the NW Passage Scenic Byway?
