Yuasa battery failure (Model GYZ-16H)

    I have had Deka in all 3 bikes. Great battery. Havent shown any signs of failure. 2 are at 5 years. Hardly ever use a tender. Just ride them lots is the answer

    You mean, besides EVERYONE? :) When I worked for Yuasa they went out the door labeled Harley Davidson, Honda, Motorcraft, MTD, all sorts of stuff. The YT19BL-BS batteries that I buy are made by Yuasa but they have a different sticker on them... with a Yuasa part number. :)

    They're good batteries. Failures happen. And don't leave your bike on charge all the time.

    Thanks a ton for that info. I am trying to get in the habit now of just throwing them on a tender say once a week

    I'd even go less then that. They start discharging after 2 weeks so twice à month is plenty for the bike.
