Let her decide.
Let her decide whether or not hit the gravel with a group of talented riders on her 4th ride after the MSF school or to hang out with that big list of jokers at a burger joint?
It's a long ride for a n00b (20 mile max so far) and, while we've made plans to ride on Saturday, we haven't settled on a location. Additionally, if I can't get my BMW running, I'll be on the WR... There are lots of factors, and since she's the beginner, she will decide.
150 dirt... you're killing me! I'm in dire need of a good dirt day.
I'm sure we'll be up for later rides but we have to sort out the stable- Right now she's on the '91 SecaII that belongs to my roommate and I commute on to "make sure it's still running". I'm trying to talk her into a R1100GS since she can flatfoot the bugger. That'll mean I need a streeter, too...
I hope you all have a safe ride! Have fun and be merry. I will be in Breck.... hopefully not face down in a gutter...damn Oktoberfest brews!.
Where's that at?
Breckenridge- maybe next year after the z-burger ride we should hit Breck for the beers and crash at a hotel
Fuck me, I can't go. I'll be in Utah doing dry wall, trying to get my house rented for the winter. I fucking love burgers too. This ride is just what the doctor ordered but I'll have to wait for the next one. Have fun.
Mrs. Z's Burger Barn is right on Hwy 40 in greater downtown Kremmling.
Coorsleftfield is hemming and hawing about it. I think we can twist his arm. Dharma has a spanking new R1200GS. We might be able to coerce him to joining us, but he doesn't want to get it dirty, so he would probably stick to the slab.
Tina and I will be there, more or less on time, Starbucks willing.
why didnt darmahman just get a friggen RT already?
another GS slab queen
I WANT Darmahman to come out with the new toy so I can spank his ass on my porky Adventure [on the pavement]. The last time we rode he had the Dakar and wasn't able to properly play going up the Poudre, but he gave it a good effort.
Come on Mike.
i can get YFF's deals on lodging in breck and the kstone
Not all of us have the $$$$$ to take our $15,000 motorcycles and thrash them in the dirt. It is my street bike with the occasional foray into the crappy stuff but that is what the cheaper dirt bikes are for. I am not six foot ten or whatever and require a 1/4 ton+ dirt bike to get me around in the dirt!!! My lowly riding skills as attested to in the "big dick" hillclimb will all but bear out that I need lightweight and cheap in the dirt. So order me a veggie burger at Z's if you get there before me. If I don't make it you can eat it for me!!
And one other thing - Cap is talking trash - I ain't seen that weestrom of his or Tina's on any real dirt trails other than smooth gravel roads. If I don't go I'd like to see which way he is planning on going and I will bet it is all tarmac!
It appears unlikely I will be able to make this ride. Wish I could but I need to work as money is tight and expenses high in this weak economy.
Have fun, and I'll be thinking of you all.
Me and the wife unit are driving out to Steamboat tomorrow. Is this burger place in town? I seearch the net and saw one listed in Kremling.
If it is in town, any directions needed to find it?
Looks like I'll have a passenger. My son Ashton is coming along...
