I just got back from a 4-day 1,200 mile motorcycle trip the through the mountains of Colorado and the canyonlands of Utah. In spite of all the economic bad news there is still the inner peace of a zen-no-mind long distance ride.

Fall colors on Cottonwood Pass, Kebler Pass, Grand Mesa, and Hwy 141 were spectacular. Canyonlands and Arches NPs were a mind-full of towering rock spires. Sorry no pics to share of fall colors or the canyonlands. I do mostly zen photography.

But, I did take some pics of newspaper rock near Canyonlands NP, a great piece of ancient rockart. Life was simpler then, no price bubble in the market for cliff dwellings, no melt-down of sub-prime hogan mortgage securities... and corn futures were not even invented back then.

Back then your ride would have taken 4 months and you would have probably died. :1drink

I love the rock art of southern Utah too. Nice roads.
