Thanks for that, I've had some positive purchasing experiences there in the past, so I'll give them a try

Squily, I emailed them too a couple of days ago about Perth, but have had no reply as yet. Now I have this review of the Zeus I"m going to see if Helmet House in Vic Park will get some in. They might if they read the review and think there will be riders in Perth interested in them. Will post here if I have any luck.

Paves - i did the same email a couple of days ago. With any luck they will see all these emails from Perth people and get onto it.

Good idea re helmet house - i've had great service from them in the past and would happily give those guys my $$$ again. Let us know how you go.

    cheers

I just ordered one from Helmet House in Vic Park. I ordered a large, Grey and it's due in 2/3 weeks from over east. Sizing could be an issue because the shop measured my head and said I was a small :rofl. I pointed out my current helmet is XL (it is also a bit looser now than it used to be though) and tried on a Shoei. The large fitted me best. If Squily and Duffman want to wait until mine arrives you can both try it on. Otherwise Helmet House will get you one.

Let me know when you get it and I'll meet you somewhere for a beer. Or better, lets do a ride somewhere. I was planning to try and find Cully's tomorrow, as I have to go down to the city anyway. What was the final figure quoted by Helmet house? I spoke to the lady there and she indicated they don't have the 2100b in stock but can order. I indicated the problem I have with sizing and gave here my current helmet sizes (BMW 59/60 and Airoh 56/57). She said she'll get back to me. Apprently they do have some of the Zeus open-face helmets in stock. Will keep you informed

Been to Cully's. Turned out they were almost around the corner from where I slave.

The lady said she'll order a L and M, as she's not sure what I'll be. I tried on various manufactures' helmets and as expected, it differed greatly. The Zeus L open-face was definately slightly too big.

She also said they are expecting it sometime in March- probable end of March with breaks in-between. Apparently the suppliers over East are waiting for stock from overseas and its only expected in in the next 2 weeks or so.

Price $250, same as yours. I asked for the Titanium finish.

In the specifications, it says the shell is made from "Thermo injected alloys"? or 'Plastic'!! My Suomy is light and is made from composite materials and fibres. No one has commented on the idea of 'Plastic' for the shell...I know, it's cheap.

well its nothing new. Plastic shells are generally used in the cheaper lids. I always had the understanding that the composite shells were lighter, but not necessarily "better" as such.
