    Cheers for the follow-up Paves.

I'll pop out to Helmet House or whatever they're called and have a chat with them.

They told me there was a choice between black, grey and silver. I chose grey and that's the one in the pic. Is that the colour you want?

Is there a supplier in the Brissy area that anyone knows of? With their sizing apparently different from other helmets it would be good to try one on first.

EDIT: Just noticed the post about Team Moto Moorooka, I will try there.

Guys, read this post last night with interest at work, amazed i find the time, but phew managed to squeeze it in :evil
Doing a solo trip to Townsville and need another helmet that is not as noisy as the motorcross lid i use.

Sent the distributor an email last night and they replied at 8:08 am, now thats service! they supplied info on where to buy etc and suggested i email my noggin size to them for sizing of the helmet.

I,m gunna take the plunge and buy one, these guys seem to know what customer service is, hopefully the lid will do the Roxby Downs via dirt to Townsville trip with a bit less noise than current, also be good not to have to have the MP3 player up full bore all the time.

BTW any of you inmates from Townsville? may catch up for a bundy, up there for about first 3 weeks of May.

    Jase

PS Trip report and helmet review late May.

This helmet really just looks like a road lid with a peak.

Small opening for goggles, close in and tall chin guard.

Would it not be as hot as a road lid for off-road use?

No probs Knackers. I'll just take a drink from my camel back and spit it at the visor, then open the visor a smidge and it'll work just like an evaporative air con

That looks black to me, just shinier than DirtDivers. I do remember them saying they only had black in matt.

Picked my Dark silver with Tinted visor up from Springwood Suzuki today and they had all sizes in Dark Silver Matt finish, as for sizing i take an XL in KBC, HJC, Shoei and Arai and still XL in the Zeus. Tinted visor is a very resonable $45 RRP compared to $90 + for some other brands.

so has anyone actually tried fitting goggles in these things...

from the pics that Hunsta posted the opening looks big enough...

without this feature its just a road helmet with a peak to me - USELESS

Anyone know if there are melb bike shops that stocks these helmets?

Warna: whats the advantage of wearing goggles? I wear prescription lenses and think these would suit me to a T.

whats the point of wearing a MX style helmet if you cant wear goggles ??

the visor in the down position would be too hot for me offroad (i.e. slower than road speeds) and in the up position you would be blinded by the dust or literally blinded by a rock hitting shattering you glasses..

people proclaim the peak helps with the sun.. BOLLOCKS I say.. I commute to work everyday and the sun is not really a major issue with my road helmet.. it's all about the look I reckon :lol3:lol3:lol3

For those in Sydney who are after one of these helmets:
I contacted the distributors R & R Speedsports 35 Rosedale Ave Greenacre who said they can supply the helmets and they have a full range of sizes and colour options. Hours of business Mon-Fri 8.30 to 5, Sat 9 to 1.
