Has anybody tried this combination? Handguards with spoilers, stock bars, no risers. How do they get along? Fitting, bumping, grinding, trimming, etc? Would you do it again with these issues in mind?

    Much obliged :ear.

I think I did this before, but never hurts to put it down a couple of times...

I have the ZTechnik Sport with Barkbuster Storms...and ran this combo both with and without 20mm risers on the Scotts damper...no issues at all, either way.

I have the Ztechnik medium height windshield with the regular Barkbusters. Before I installed the Rox risers it hit at full lock, but not very hard. With the risers it just barely touches (I pulled the bars back slightly).

Cushman & Lokey - Thanks for the replies. Nice looking set up Cushman. It gets pretty fiddly when trying to mix and match after market stuff :lol3.

In answer to my question Greg Salgado at ZTechnik finally replied:

"In doing a little research, I found out that with the Tour-Tech hand-guards, Z2432 will clear."

I have a Z tall with TT guards and Scotts riser. The guards hit at full lock, but not bad.

    Hello!

Asked this question already in another thread but I think this thread here is less offtopic:

Can anyone tell me about the wind-noise of the sport-screen comparing with the stock-screen?

I'll pitch in with my 658 ZTechnik Sport shield. I feel there is less buffeting with still a little bit of wind noise. Not so bad, and ear plugs would eliminate any annoyance.
    My Beemer hand guards clear.
The 658/800 windscreens are just a bad design. Why else would there be 20 some odd windscreens out there?
IMO the windshield is too far in front of the rider, resulting in the rider being at the back of the air pocket where buffeting begins.

    Those darned germans.

Well, seems as if this screen wouldn't be an alternative for me.
It is that annoying wind nose that is driving me mad...

You asked in the Aeroflow thread if this screen is noisier than the stock screen.
    I feel it is quieter.
I've rode across Wa, & Oregon with no issues.

Somehow with all these screens out there, it still seems bmw has missed the mark for clean air. jmho

The OEM screen on the F650GS twin is that real short one and it is like riding a naked bike. Wind hit me flat on and at speed I felt like the wind was pushing me off the bike. The OEM screen lasted one day and then I replaced it with the short sport screen and that has been fine.

My son, on his F658, installed a much taller CalSci screen and when I rode his bike I just could not stand the buffeting around the helmet. I would much rather have a shorter screen that just takes pressure off the chest but leaves the helmet in clean air flow -- no buffeting. On secondary roads I often ride with visor up whereas at highway speeds I ususally ride with visor down.

If you want a pocket of quiet air -- visor up at any speed -- ride, you are going to have to have a hugh windscreen on an F658 or maybe just ride an RT (which are excellent bikes) with its large adjustable screen.

Well I am looking for a screen which offers enough protection for speeds up to 140 km/h without creating turbulences and too much noise.
The wind protection with the OEM F800 screen is ok, but the wind noise is much too loud.
The wind noise with the F650 screen is sufferable but ether protection at highway-speed is not good.

At last I am looking for a screen similar to the OEM but without the wind noise....

I have the Ztechnik short sport tinted on my GS. I love the look. It works well up to about 40mph. above that, it creates a push right at my XD3. I have tried it with my Profile with the same noisy effect. I am going to try cutting it down about 3 inches so the helmet is in clean air and my chest is protected.
