This has probably been covered - but - just got a Zumo 396 LMT-S. My Tiger 800 has a BMW/Powerlet outlet at the front of the tank that I'd like to use rather than wiring it to the bike. I could just put a Powerlet plug on the cable that came with it, but it will be ridiculously long. Probably only need a foot or so. Any ideas?

I haven't bought a new Garmin since a Nuvi 500 ten years ago...

Been using Mapsource for 20 years - guess I'll finally have to figure out Basecamp - ugh

To clarify - the 12V part of the power cable, which has bare ends and could easily be trimmed - is 22" long. The other part, after the "converter box" is 4 1/2 feet. I only need to go about 12" total from the powerlet receptacle to the Zumo mount.
