I have a 4 y/o Zumo 350. The cradle has 2 spring loaded contact pins and the GPS has 2 contact plates. I continually get a beep and "Battery Low" message on the display. If I turn the unit off, it will restart (indicating it is getting power) and shortly will beep and give the "Battery Low" message. On a recent trip it got so aggravating I wanted to snatch it off the mount and throw it as far as I could ... reason got the better of me and I stuffed it in my tankbag instead.

Has anyone else experienced this problem ?

I have checked the pins on the cradle, they have power and they move freely. Could it be the internal battery has reached the end of it's life ? Does anyone know if the battery is available and/or is user replaceable ?

I like Garmin products, but they are not without problems and their customer service really stinks.
